His fantastic imagery, in which one finds echoes of fairy tales, mythology and legend, are crossed by a dark-toned mystical tenor, which roots in the artist's examination of European art history on the one hand and the traditions of the occult and spiritual in art on the other.
Located at the indifferent interface between image and its decay König's works evolve in a diffuse emotional state of transformation and raise existential questions about the state of humanity.
